Jem Wong, Intern

Therapy with Jem will involve working together to explore the impact of external forces on internalized belief systems and uncovering the connection between past and present at their own pace. She believes that an enhanced present moment awareness of the internal experience, joined with the ability to see more expansively into old wounds and patterns, can help create an environment that transforms conflict into opportunities for greater connection and understanding. Both a long term client and student of modern psychology, she strives to create a safe and supportive space for individuals and couples to develop empowered relationships with themselves and others by helping them clear the path of misunderstood drives and harness the interplay of emotions and thoughts and alchemize them into fuel for positive change.

Although Jem finds listening to be incredibly important, she’s known for being hands on with a warm and humorous yet candid style as she supports clients through the courageous process of seeking harmony in relationships and living life fuller: with others, with their feelings, and with their mind, body, and spirit.

Her background as a former CPA, private accountant in the fast paced financial sector, academic researcher and plethora of lived experience has made her well rounded in her work. Jem’s passion lies in empowering clients and human connection to ensure client success. Jem is a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator for couples therapy, KRI certified yoga and meditation instructor with supervision and a yoga therapist in training through IAYT.
